Jackson Solutions assisted the client in understanding the construction issues and associated budget estimates to construct a two-lane motorway extension which would link Junction 8 of the M6 Toll with Junction 1 of the M54. Working from Macquarie's previous as built designs from previously completed works, Jackson Solutions produced a detailed programme of works and a baseline cost estimate for the job. In addition, Jackson provided a bill of quantities which broke down the section and element costs of the design. This approach helped to identify areas of the project to focus on for later value engineering exercises and also material elements or trade packages that may be subject to price increases through inflation or market fluctuation.
