Jackson has always recognised that the construction industry has a major influence on the environment. Particularly at risk are aquatic ecosystems, natural habitats, soils and the human environment at our construction sites and administrative offices. We are aware that environmental risk is created through the physical changes that engineering and its operations have on the environment, the potential to pollute and the use of natural resources. Engineering projects also have the potential to enhance the environment through amenity and service creation, employment opportunity and habitat improvement.
