Replacement of all parapet railings to Adur Viaduct in Sussex plus refurbishment of mechanical bridge joints on the A27 elevated interchange spanning the river Adur. All were executed under complex traffic management. The project had a tight programme with night works and weekend possessions.
Phase 2
The second phase of works to the A27 Adur Viaduct was to upgrade the bridge drainage system from the existing kerb and gulley arrangement whereby the collected surface water was discharged directly through the bridge deck outlets onto the fields or river below, some 15m plus height of discharge! The flows were not intercepted for pollution or attenuated in anyway.
