The works comprised the construction of the Nine wells rail bridge which passes over the mainline Cambridge to London, electrified railway and a farm access track.
The scheme included:
- Construction of a 91.75m long, semi integral continuous bridge consisting of three skew spans
- Construction of reinforced concrete parapets, abutments, piers, wing walls, pile caps and cast in situ piles
- Construction of part of road embankments behind the abutments
