This project has been in undertaken in a SSSI. The area is both floristically and faunally significant. JCE worked closely with the environmental impact assessment process, engaging with local interest groups in the development of the EIA and EAP to ensure that all construction alternatives were considered and evaluated for their environmental effect.
Early in the programme, a training session was run for all staff, including subcontractors, by the JCE Environmental Manager and the ECW. The training focused on the important environmental issues identified in the EIA and the controls developed in the EAP.
