Urbanisation of the Ashford town centre ring road. The project involved changing a three and four lane one way system into a single two way system with high specification road and footway materials. The improvements have been designed to encourage freedom of movement of pedestrians throughout sections of the ring road creating a ‘shared space’ environment similar to that used successfully in mainland European towns and cities.

Elwick Road

Involved public realm improvement works on and around Elwick Road and the remodelling of the Victoria Road / Beaver Road junction.

Bank Street

Works included paving to footpaths and existing road surfaces within the busy shopping street of Ashford town centre.
