JCE was awarded these works to change the use of an existing Coal Storage facility into a Bulk Cement Terminal at the Northfleet terminal.

The existing structure is a reinforced concrete frame and steel clad building. The works involve the provision of new reinforced concrete walls to form 3no storage bins within the fabric of the existing structure. The walls are 15m in height and run for approx 140m on either side of the building together with the provision of a new concrete floor slab. The whole building is then re-clad.
