We’re immensely proud to have won the Construction News Supply Chain Excellence Award.
Working with our client Connect Plus and supply chain partners Axtell and DB Group, we successfully piloted an ultra-low carbon concrete on the M25, which has slashed carbon emissions by 77%.
The material, known as Cemfree, is not normally used in the highways sector and has the potential for reducing carbon emissions on future projects.
The judges said: “We commend the team for their collaboration and the tenacity of the supply chain. Bringing this innovation to a reality is impressive. Embodied carbon is the industry's single biggest challenge and this sustainable product is driving to solve those problems and innovate, with further opportunities to follow. This is a really important initiative.”
