Campaigning culture
We support health and safety and well-being at work through ongoing campaigns, and we’re pursuing an environmental goal to be a Net Zero business.
Supporting health and safety, well-being and environmental initiatives.
Our STOP-THINK-REASSESS campaign encourages extra care.
Re-think
Our health and safety initiative called STOP-THINK-REASSESS is an ongoing campaign to ensure our people take extra care at all times.
We have a strong QHSE culture built on mutual trust and shared responsibility. Our experienced teams work to high standards where we ensure safety and quality remain at the heart of everything we do.
As a campaign, STOP-THINK-REASSESS has become part of our DNA where we see the benefits in taking time to stop and think about what we are doing.
It helps, whenever there is any doubt, to just take a moment to be certain that you’re doing things in the best way to ensure the health and safety and wellbeing of yourself and others.
Share alike
Jackson has developed a dedicated Share-it app to enable our people to share examples of good and not-so-good practice from our sites.
It’s not a question of apportioning blame, but of being vigilant and proactive about safety, environmental care and professionalism.
It’s a simple idea that’s helped develop a culture of openness and transparency – the best way, we feel, to drive constant improvements through the business.
Our bespoke Share-it app makes it easy to capture and share ideas or concerns and discuss them in the team.
We’re working to reduce negative impacts and promote sustainable materials and methods.
We are increasingly using hydrogen fuel cells to power site offices.
Closer to the Net
The company’s Net Zero 2035 target is a stretching one, but everyone’s committed to it. As a campaign it is full of initiatives to reduce our emissions throughout the business.
From the greening of our fleet and plant vehicles to the use of renewables to power on-site facilities, we continue to make incremental improvements that keep us en route to Net Zero.
Efficiency drive
Vehicles and business energy use make up a large proportion of Jackson’s carbon emissions and both are a focus for savings.
As a firm with a national reach, it’s fair to say we do a lot of miles. To balance that, our current aim is for full electrification of our fleet vehicles. As of December 2024, 76% of company cars had tailpipe emissions below 75g/km, and 20% 0g/km.
Recent solar power investments on buildings have improved the performance of our offices, and the increased use of hydrogen fuel cells are bringing zero emissions as well as silence to our site offices.
Our aim is full electrification of our fleet.
