Urgent works on Suffolk beach

A Jackson team is carrying out urgent works to install temporary sea defences for a property on the Suffolk coast.

Approximately 250 rock bags are being placed along a 50-metre stretch of beach in Thorpeness near Sizewell, a village where a number of beachside properties are under threat due to coastal erosion.

A private homeowner appointed Jackson to oversee the works in front of his house. The scheme designers are Ramboll and the rock bags have been supplied by SPS from Great Yarmouth. The bags are transported by dumper from a compound to the work site where a team from Ovenden is carrying out the rock placement work.
