A hat-trick of environment awards
for Jackson
Jackson has won three environmental awards in the past six months after working with different supply chain partners to develop innovations designed to cut carbon from civil engineering projects.
In June, the company was Highly Commended in the Innovation Excellence category at the Environment Agency's Flood & Coast Awards. This was for our work in bringing the supply chain together to develop low carbon pre-cast reinforced revetment blocks, which were used on river embankment structure at Hullbridge in Essex.
In September Jackson picked up the Sustainability award at the ICE West Midlands Awards for collaborating with specialist partners to develop a low carbon asphalt, which was used to surface a cycle path on top of a flood embankment in Bromford.
In the same month, the ICE East of England also handed Jackson a Sustainability award for their collaboration with specialist provider TCP to use hydrogen fuel cells to power sites in Northamptonshire and Cambridgeshire while working on the Environment Agency’s Navigation Programme.
