Jackson launches
health and safety reporting app
Jackson Civil Engineering has launched a new app that simplifies the way its workers report quality, health and safety and environmental (QHSE) issues from site.
The Share It app allows workers to record both near misses and best practice directly from their mobile phone, so that more observations are captured and the data can be analysed quicker.
The app has been trialled on a number of Jackson sites and has now been rolled out across the business.
Positive behaviour
Jackson has been running its See it, Sort it initiative for a number of years with sites using a variety of reporting systems but now the app has been introduced to make reporting and analysis easier. By standardising on this platform the business will be able to highlight any trends earlier
The app will be also be used to capture examples of positive behaviour and innovation. Images, video and documents can be added to any submission via the app.

'The Share It app is all about capturing good and bad practice so we can learn from it. The more we know about, learn from and act on unsafe acts, the more likely we are to reduce the chances of a serious incident. We also want to promote the great stuff our sites are doing on a daily basis.'
