Most promising award for Antoinette
Jackson’s Antoinette Marchant has been named winner of the Most Promising Industrial Placement award at the recent CECA Southern Awards.
The CECA Southern Awards celebrate the success of young achievers, along with the outstanding contributions and lifetime achievements of those working in civil engineering contracting.

Engineering tasks
During her placement with Jackson , Antoinette assisted with day-to-day engineering tasks. Her first scheme was High Speed 2 (HS2) enabling works which involved building compounds and access haul routes for the rail construction.
Antoinette’s second project involved working alongside a Senior Engineer to construct the infrastructure needed for a housing development in Linmere, Bedfordshire. She also took part in several STEM events, including visiting an all-girls college and helping at a sixth form college in Suffolk.
She completed her placement while studying at the University of Bath and is currently studying a Masters degree in Manchester.
