Estimating Take Off Technician

We are looking for a take off technician to join our estimating department at Head Office in Ipswich.

Key Responsibilities

Assist the Estimators in other capacities if extra help required.
•Crrespond with site personnel to assist in take-off or other relatable queries.
Learn to read plans & project specifications.
Learn to use the company’s take-off & earthworks modelling software.
Learn to identify incidental items of work that may require take-off.
Develop an understanding of standard methods of measurement and forms of contract.

Skills Required

If you’ve got a head for numbers, a sharp set of IT skills and an interest in civil engineering, we want you to come and work for us!
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate innovative approaches to problem solving and the ability to handle the financial and mathematical demands of the role by possessing impressive numeracy skills, and you must be able to work to deadlines!
Whilst experience in civil engineering would be preferred, it is not imperative.
