Jackson Civil Engineering and its partner the Environment Agency picked up two awards at the recent CECA Midlands Region Annual Awards, held at the MacDonald Burlington Hotel in Birmingham.
The Hibaldstow Bridge Refurbishment project, which involved the restoration of a Grade II listed bridge in Brigg, Lincolnshire, won the Environmental Excellence category, with judges praising: “A fantastic example of how cutting-edge technology and techniques can be used in a heritage restoration project.”
The Derby Urgent Works project, an urgent response to excessive scour and erosion of a critical flood defence, was also awarded first place in the Client Team of the Year category. The judges remarked: “This project exemplifies what can be achieved when early integration of client, stakeholder and delivery teams are willing to share risk and innovate.”
